Rupert Lowe tabled a new legislative motion on June 9, 2026, cementing his pivot away from Reform toward his new, Elon Musk-backed Restore party. On The Rest Is Politics, co-host Alastair Campbell slammed Lowe for exploiting a family tragedy, arguing that Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe weaponized the death of Henry Nowak to create further division, hatred, or tension. Campbell described their behavior as "absolutely shameful."
Yet Alastair Campbell offered a rare defense of Lowe on another front, noting that even Rupert Lowe called that out when a highly distorted, racially charged graphic of Kemi Badenoch circulated online. Still, Campbell maintains that Lowe remains part of a far-right faction that is brilliant at gaslighting the public on crime and immigration statistics.
Over on The Megyn Kelly Show, guest Laurence Fox offered a glowing review, pitching Lowe as a common-sense "British Trump" figure. Fox urged Megyn Kelly's viewers to support the new political party run by, uh, a guy called Rupert Lowe to combat establishment decay. Meanwhile, comedian Tim Dillon took a lighter approach on The Tim Dillon Show, joking that his long-haired chinchilla kitten is supporting Rupert Lowe and, and, and, uh, the Restore Party in the UK after souring on the rest of the political class.
With Rupert Lowe continuing to build out his new Elon Musk-backed vehicle, the debate over his brand of populist politics is only set to widen.
