Lee Remington, a professor at Bellarmine University, is injecting fresh momentum into the cold case of Alberta O. Jones by investigating a potential money trail linked to her 1965 murder.
On a recent episode of Crime Junkie, host Ashley Flowers highlighted Remington's ongoing research for an upcoming book detailing Jones's life and tragic death. Flowers noted that previous leads had gone cold, but "this avenue is getting renewed attention now, thanks to a professor at Bellarmine University in Louisville named Lee Remington." According to Flowers, Remington's investigation into the financial aspects of the case represents the direction that seems most promising for finally identifying the killer.
While the book does not yet have an official publication date, anticipation is building around the evidence Remington plans to release. Flowers shared that the author "expects to lay out more evidence, like a potential money trail leading back to Alberta's killer when she publishes", though the biography is also expected to honor the broader legacy of Jones's career.
