True-crime powerhouse Ashley Flowers has returned to the Crime Junkie feed to personally introduce the latest season of CounterClock, this time tackling the devastating Lane Bryant Murders from 2008. Speaking to her listeners, Ashley Flowers detailed a case that has "stuck with me for years", wherein five women were murdered inside a Tinley Park, Illinois clothing store.
What makes the mystery so frustrating, as Ashley Flowers pointed out, is the sheer volume of evidence investigators had near the beginning, including "a surviving witness, a detailed composite sketch, even the suspect's voice captured on a 911 call." Yet, despite these clues, "nearly two decades later, no one has been identified, and all potential leads went cold."
As the new season of CounterClock rolls out, true-crime listeners are waiting to see if the investigative show can generate the fresh leads needed to finally break this notorious cold case wide open.
