This climate sweet spot has triggered an unprecedented boom for local fisheries. Curt Brown noted that the acceleration really took off in the 2000s, leading to a massive surge: "since about 2013, 2014, we've been seeing landings that are about sixfold higher than they were back in the 1980s."
